Deeside Way

A long distance footpath of 44 miles in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It generally follows the course of the disused Deeside railway line from Aberdeen to Ballater. Maps, statistics and gpx route file for the walk are included.

Summary: The Deeside Way is a walking, cycling and horse-riding route, mainly along a disused railway trail that follows, in part, the bed of the former Deeside Railway. The trail leads along the north bank of the River Dee from Aberdeen to Ballater in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Locations visited along the route from beginning to end include Cults, Bieldside, Milton of Murtle, Milltimber, Peterculter, Coalford, Drumoak, Crathes, Banchory, Blackhall Forest, Kincardine O'Neil, Aboyne, Muir of Dinnet and Milton of Tullich.
