Cleveland Way Accommodation Guide
The Cleveland Way is a spectacular 110 mile long distance walk of two definite halves. The first half from Helmsley skirts the upland ridge on the edge of the North York Moors National Park before reaching the coast at Saltburn while the second half follows the Yorkshire coastline south to end at Filey. Thus the Cleveland Way is often described as two walks in one. The first of beautiful moorland which is covered in heather during late summer and the second of outstanding coastland which is stunning at any time of year. For real adventurous long distance walkers the conclusion at Filey meets with the Wolds Way so there is the opportunity to continue on and complete two of England's national trials seamlessly. Whatever you choose to do the Cleveland Way in itself is a treasured walk with lots of interest including ancient cairns, abbeys, castles and picturesque towns.
