Lake District Accommodation Guide
The Lake District is special. Naturally beautiful with mountains and lakes shaped by the glaciers of the last ice age, it is simply a wonderful place to visit. A popular National Park full of natural wonders and especially attractive to walkers as there are many magnificent trails and paths to be found in the National Park for any level of walker, from extreme walkers who like rock and scree to all the family and for the elderly. Iconic places roll off the tongue from high ground like Scafell Pike, Striding Edge and Skiddaw to akeside at Windermere, Coniston Water and Ullswater. In between there are many lovely valleys and riversides to explore with many hidden delights for the seekers of newe places. The Lake District always delivers and I shall walk in the National Park for as long as I can.
