Walking in Italy
Lago Di Piano
A beautiful view of Lago Di Piano and Lake Lugano taken fron Bosco Impero

Having a special love of the English Lake District I just had to go and walk in the Italian counterpart. And so having read about the Italian Lakes and Mountains in books and on the web I decided to locate myself in the area of Gradola Ed Uniti situated between Lake Como and Lake Lugano as the area promised a wealth of superb walking and hiking trails. The hype was well founded as I found walks in enchanting woodlands, walks in valleys with fascinating geology and above all superb mountain walking. I hope you enjoy reading about them as much as I enjoyed walking them. Also check out the accompanying films of the walks. Thank you.
