Summary
The Centenary Way, which runs from Ilkeston to Ashbourne in an east-to-west direction near the Peak District, was devised by the Derbyshire Footpaths Preservation Society to commemorate their centenary. As well as connecting Ilkeston with Ashbourne, the walk visits the attractive villages of West Hallam, Duffield, Weston Underwood, Brailsford, Ednaston, Shirley, and Osmaston. The Centenary Way links with further long-distance walks in the Peak District upon reaching Ashbourne.
