Summary
The Mersey Way follows the River Mersey from Warrington in Cheshire to Liverpool, Merseyside. At 22 miles, the route can be walked in one day — as it often is for charity or sponsorship challenges — or more leisurely over two days. The first part of the walk runs from Warrington to Widnes, passing through Paddington Meadows and Victoria Park. The second part runs from Widnes to the City of Liverpool, passing the Silver Jubilee Bridge (Runcorn-Widnes Bridge) and Liverpool John Lennon Airport before finishing at Garston.
