This Walkpedia page is devoted to the best walks throughout Great Britain and including walks of interest which I have not covered myself. The Walkpedia will eventually cover all the areas, regions and counties of all Great Britain so if it is the far west of England, mid Wales, East of England or Northern Scotland then in time you will find a walk to suit you in the most comprehensive library of free walks on the web.
Why not help to provide the most complete 'free walks' resource on the web? Send your walks to me and I will publish them for free. Just provide basic details of where you walked, what you experienced and a few pictures then I will do the rest. For more details see Publish your Walk.

This page will also include links to lists of the highest mountains, lakes, tarns, rivers, etc in each area in order to find lots of walking challenges. I know walkers and hikers like a challenge. For example you can look at the list of England's highest mountains and decide if you want to bag to top ones. How about completing the Top 100? Or maybe the 214 Fells in the Lake District which are listed as the Wainwright Fells. More local challenges will be listed here too, like those featured already such as the hills, tarns and waterfalls of the Yorkshire Dales and the highest hills and moors of the Peak District and North York Moors respectively. Also don't forget to keep looking in as I will be adding more and more information and more walking lists and walking charts in the future. |
