Summary
The Around Corby long-distance footpath, which circles the Northamptonshire town, was opened in May 2009. It was designed by local Ramblers member Mel Jarvis. The route, which strives to include the very best of the local countryside and villages close to Corby, goes by Wilbarston, Pipewell Wood, Great Oakley, Geddington, Geddington Chase, Stanion, Brigstock, Upper Laudimer Wood, Weldon, Kirkby Hall (including the site of a medieval village), Gretton, Rockingham (and Rockingham Castle), Great Easton, Bringhurst, Cottingham, and Middleton.
