Summary
The 25-mile long Beacon Banks Challenge starts and finishes in the small and attractive Yorkshire market town of Easingwold, just off the A19 about 12 miles north of York, winding through a scenic and little-walked area offering views of the south-western North York Moors, which includes the White Horse of Kilburn, and also views of the nearby Howardian Hills. On the route, the walk visits Husthwaite, Kilburn, Byland Abbey, and Coxwold.
