Summary
The Eden Way route follows the course of the River Eden from the Solway Firth through diverse Cumbrian countryside to the source of the river in the Yorkshire Dales on Mallerstang Edge, south of Kirkby Stephen. The route visits Carlisle, Wetheral, Armathwaite, Kirkoswald, Langwathby, Appleby, Warcop, and Kirkby Stephen before finding the first signs of the river on Black Fell Moss.
