Summary
The Herriot Way is a long-distance walk covering the best of the Yorkshire Dales of Wensleydale and Swaledale, along with the uplands separating them. The walk visits many of the locations featured in the All Creatures Great and Small television series, which chronicled the work and exploits of James Herriot. The Herriot Way is a circular, unofficial route of approximately 50 to 52 miles in length, ideally completed in four stages of roughly 13 miles each.
