Summary
The Kirklees Way long-distance footpath is a challenging circular route that circles the Metropolitan District of Kirklees in West Yorkshire (of which Huddersfield is the principal town). The route takes in some of the best local landscape, highlighting scenic viewpoints, local history, and inclusive neighboring areas such as the Upper Colne Valley. The walk mixes South Pennine upland with valley floors, transitioning from exposed moorland tops to the industrial heritage towns of Kirklees.
