Summary
The Thanet Coastal Path is a waymarked walking route also shown on Ordnance Survey mapping. The path begins at St Mary’s Church near Reculver and finishes at Pegwell Bay. Along the way, the path makes its way across sandy beaches, past sweeping bays, and amidst stunning chalk cliffs.
From the start, places visited in order include the Regulbium Roman Fort site, Plumpudding Island, Birchington-on-Sea, Westgate-on-Sea, Margate, Cliftonville, Kingsgate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, and Cliffsend, before finishing at Pegwell Bay Country Park.
