Summary: There are a number of coast to coast routes taken in a north to south or south to north direction in Wales. These include the Cambrian Way which takes the high ground whenever possible and which includes walking the mountains of Snowdonia in North Wales, the Cambrian Mountains of Central Wales and across the highest hills and mountains of the Brecon Beacons in South Wales. Then there is Snowdonia to the Gower, devised by John Gillham, which also includes Snowdonia and the Cambrians but deviates from the Cambrian Way in the south of the country by heading south-west to finish on the Gower Peninsula. And there is Offa's Dyke National Trail which roughly follows the course of the England and Wales border; a walk I have completed in the past. My Wales Coast to Coast starts beside Conwy Castle on the coast of North Wales and joins with the Cambrian Way through Snowdonia, in doing that I complete the majority of the Welsh 3000's mountains. In the central part of the country I follow Glyndwr's Way for a while and then I head to Devil's Bridge before heading into the Cambrian Mountains. Afterwards I head into the Brecon Beacons, following the Beacons Way, Three Rivers Ride and Taff Trail in parts of my walk through the national park. I then finish my Wales Coast to Coast by crossing the Cwmbran Hills and walking through the Rhymney Valley to Cardiff, rejoining the Taff Trail on my walk through the city. It was quite a journey and I enjoyed eighteen unforgettable days in Wales completing my Wales Coast to Coast.

Important Announcement! The subtitle of my Wales Coast to Coast is 'Molly's Walk' in celebration of the birth of my first granddaughter. Born just over two weeks before I set off from Conwy she was waiting in Cardiff Bay where we were to meet for the first time.
