Summary
This route is one of the options of the Rotary Club of Harrogate’s annual Nidderdale walks.
For a medium-distance route, this is an ideal choice. From Pateley Bridge, the walk follows the same path as the 4-mile walk via Wath and Gouthwaite Reservoir to the village of Bouthwaite, then turns left toward Ramsgill. Crossing the river, it follows the Nidderdale Way to Lofthouse (where a checkpoint and refreshments are typically available) before returning on the east side of the river to Bouthwaite and retracing the outward path back to Pateley Bridge.
