Summary: The Colne Valley Path is a walk in Essex which runs from Great Yeldham to Colchester. The route explores the picturesque Colne Valley from the rivers edge to high valley sides. From the starting point at the Great Oak in Yeldham the path, which takes a downstream course, visits Castle Hedingham, Sible Hedingham, Hepworth Hall, Halstead, Earls Colne, White Colne, Wakes Colne, Chappel, Fordstreet, Fordham Bridge, West Bergholt, Baker's Bridge and Lexden Dyke before finishing at Balkerne Gate in Colchester.
